Mother's Day Week: Prize Winning Women

I hope all of you sip & savor every moment of this weekend. Whether you are celebrating your own Motherhood, or others'....savor those Prize Winning Moms in your life!
I savor each project my Creative Team sends in & today I wanted to share what Nancy & Rosemary created!
Look at these brilliant & creative Mother's Day Cards/ Paper Ribbon Corsages that Nancy made with the new Rhonna Designs kit!

She said they a card-turned-corsage. I just love that! Such a clever & fabulous idea! Thanks Nancy

And, Rosemary is simply amazing...check out these gorgeous Mother's Day cards she made out of various Rhonna Designs kits. Rosemary is so great...she created her own little Printable with my art to create a super simple card! LOVE how she incorporated the Chevron Tool kit with the Prize Winning Mom Printables along with touches of Spring Circus flowers and the Mini Seals brushes...*you can even see how she used the Chevron Tool  kit Tag brush to say 'Mom Card'....she's amazing, isn't she?
Any woman is lucky to get this gorgeous card! I love how my Creative Team has shared ideas on how to celebrate Motherhood....and Womanhood. Ya know? We are so blessed to be woman!!!

Womanhood really is amazing! I believe each of us has a purpose & mission here. Again...my favorite quote by Marianne Williamson:

"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, fabulous, gorgeous, talented? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You're playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that's within us. It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we automatically give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others."

I have mentioned it before, but I'm sooo thankful to be a part of the Moms Best Network...a whole site devoted to celebrating & empowering women! They have officially launched their site so be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can keep up with what they are doing to empower women!

Let's share that light.
Let's uplift and inspire everyone we come into contact!
Let's *sparkle*....

Happy Mother's Day to ALL women!

You.
Are.
Amazing!

LOOK at this fabulous pillow Susan created with the Spring Circus kits! I'm seriously LOVING how creative she is!
My Creative Team is amazing! I love each of them & love how they uplift & inspire me & you in their own special way!  Thanks, Susan!
and....As much as I wanted to create gifts for these posts...alas, life got in the way, so I'm sharing some of my past creations....that I STILL love!

I am still in love with this Mother's Day book I created 6 years ago when I was a Garden Girl over at Two Peas in a Bucket!  A 6x12 book created out of cut up manilla file folders & a bunch of my *vintage* papers, ribbons, rub-ons & stamps when I was with Autumn Leaves. *wink* looooong ago!
And, this 'creative gift giving' carousel I did back in 2009 for House of 3.  I still love it. & I still have one more carousel...hmm...might need to break it out & create 'Rhonna Designs' style! I think it would be perfect with the NEW Prize Winning Mom kit! Don't you?

Mother's Day Week: DIY Paper Prize Ribbons

This week's Creative Team Tuesday is such a fun DIY project by Melissa Mortenson. She created these amazing Paper Prize Ribbons with Rhonna Designs! I'm in LOVE withe them!

Melissa created these Prize Ribbons for the Kentucky Derby celebrations last week.  I love the colors & how she incorporated the Spring Circus kits, Quatrefoil, Chevron & the Number Junque kits! Brilliant, Melissa!

So, as I was looking at these, I was totally inspired & thought how wonderful these would be for "World's Best Mom", "No. 1 Mom", "Happy Mother's Day", etc. So, HER creations were the inspiration behind the new kit: Prize Winning Mom.
It's a 3 page Printables kit along with 25 brushes/digital stamps....Complete with word art, scalloped circles, & LOVE the cute silhouette moms in there!

We'll put out a Newsletter tonight &....there will be a FREE download kit in there w/ this NEW kit..so, you will want to be on the Newsletter Subscription. (To sign up, just go to Rhonna Designs...look under the Hot Air Balloon & sign up!)

Super easy to create, these paper Lollies are so cute! Here's a video tutorial I did on how to make them! Just adapt it like Melissa did...die cut edges , add little flowers ( I LOVE HER HORSES), & add cut papers for the ribbons...OR real ribbons! If you really want it to be a pin, simply add a pin back! Voila!
So, let's get creating our Mother's Day Prize Ribbons for all the amazing women we know in our lives!

Creativity Week: Step No. 4- Creation

Step No. 4> Creation
Throw aside all fear. Grab your tools to create. Ready. Set. GO!
After reviewing & completing Steps No. 1-3, you're ready for the best part...Creation!
To be creative you need to feel free enough to ....
Creative PLAY is the time to do something different than you've done before.  Do not worry about the results, rules, etc.  Feel free. Let it all go.

Remember when you were a little child? You just played. You didn't think about 'rules'...were there any rules about how YOU made a mud pie? or how YOU climbed a tree? or how YOU caught a caterpillar & just let it walk all over your hand?

No...You just did it with reckless abandon....& you felt free. *at least I did..I remember feeling free...losing track of time because I loved playing so much* hee hee.

Creation is the same thing. Lose yourself in the process...just be free. have fun & break out of your normal patterns...LOOK at things in a different way. Just PLAY.

This is it...this is the time of your process where you let go of all fear & just PLAY
Creative play is crucial....every. day.
I can't emphasize this enough...even if it's for 1 or 2 minutes.
How is this possible you ask? Easy...just pick out one of my 100 Creativity Exercises.  Some days I don't have time...literally only have a few minutes. So, I may pick one out of my jar that requires more time. That's OK...I just put it back in & pick out one until I have a 1 or 2 minute exercise...& then I go for it.
I PLAY.

I'm hoping you get the creative bug...practice these steps (they do take practice) until it's infused in you....you will live the cReative life you've always wanted. I promise!

And the great thing is...you can apply this creativity to every aspect of your life.  For instance...reemember how I have been training for my 2nd Full Marathon? I'm on week 15...just over 3 weeks left....and,
THE worst thing possible happened!
I got injured!

It's a Grade 2 Calf Strain...I've got to take off 5-8 weeks. um..yea.
Needless to say...I'm  I was devastated

(hence, my absence from my blog/social media for the past couple of days..boohoo.)

I gave myself a few days to 'grieve'...then, got back on my feet (a little wobbly *wink*) and, I'm figuring things out. I figure, I learned to LOVE running. *trust me, a year ago, I HATED running! LOL!* But, I learned HOW to love the process.  So...I had to look at this in a creative way...I thought: I can learn to love something else! And, you know what? It came to me last night...I've got to be creative about this, so, I'm taking all of that determination I've had for running & training & I'm going to focus it on a goal I've had for YEARS, but thought I could never do it....I started on May 1. When I get brave, I'll share my goal with you, but it's intense training & I'm really pumped about it!
I don't think I could have come up w/ it w/o thinking creatively; So...>>>I"ll be using ALL of the Steps to Creativity .
Inspiration :: Perspiration :: Innovation :: Creation.
