If you've been keeping up on my tweets & facebook page, you've seen me swooning over Mindy's NEW Christmas CD. and....I'm so excited to review it here on my blog!

At first glance...you will notice the fab photography, CD design & just how darling Mindy is Styled...so, of course, I need to give my friends a shout out! The fab Jefra Linn is the photographer & the oh-so-talented Rosie Jarman styled Ms. Gledhill into this gorgeous little soldier.

closer look at Christmas Junque & Chevron Funk

As noted in our Newsletter, there were 5 NEW digital art kits that went into the store at Rhonna Designs this week. I'm giddy about each of them & wanted to give a closer look at these kits...they are so much fun!

First up: Christmas Junque

A little background:

I've been designing the Junque vibe for years now...I had the Urban Junque digital kits over at Two Peas & came out with the physical line of it in 2007 with Autumn Leaves...seems forever ago...but I never grow tired of it...I love how it has evolved throughout the years. A lovely combination of vintage art from my collections, Dover, & my sweet friend, Karen at The Graphics Fairy...all combined with my own swirls, art & designs.

I continued with that Junque look when I was with House of 3 & we released some physical collections with Pink Paislee as well...

so, now, it's been very fun to bring Spooky Junque & Christmas Junque to Rhonna Designs. *ahem* you MAY be seeing physical product...just sayin'. *wink*

So far I've designed the Christmas Junque pieces & the Backgrounds...kind of the basics. The Pieces come with 14 pieces that can be used as borders, or single elements.  But, the whole idea of the 'pieces' is to build with these....

For this little printable, I've used the Christmas Junque background, & then pieced various bits around of the Christmas Junque pieces...

I added the JOY from the Christmas Word Art brush kit & the hanging ornaments, chevron prezzie & snowflakes are all part of the Christmas Art brush kit... so, this whole printable was created with the NEW kits...fun, huh?  

Check out the printable Backgrounds: This kit is perfect for your Christmas cards, banners, wrapping, tags, you name it!  The junquey vibe juxtaposed with the  modern quatrefoil & chevron designs make me smile.

I'm in LOVE with this collaged paper...so fab as a background, or print out & cut out the vintage pieces.

Oh mercy...let me tell you something..this will be your new 'go-to' brush set. It's so amazing for adding subtle texture, patterns, accents or even BOLD ones! I'm in love with these....you gotta try them! YOu will LOVE them!

These Simple Photo Frames 2, are so easy to work with....The kit includes 1-5 frame collages that have grid patterns, old retro light leaks, stitching,tape & tags on them....Rosemary added her  photos & text & voila! A super cool picture collage with the frames!

Isn't this the cutest? Amy Tan added this RD Frameworks to this darling picture of Alison Abad's (of Hambly Studios) daughter in Amy's shirt! I love it! such a fun way to highlight this!

& happy happy anniversary to our Creative Team member Nancy & her husband! (incidentally, Jamie & her husband share the same date for their anniversary...so cool!) Nancy used the Simple Photo Frame 2 collage of 4 along with the Number Tag brush, Grateful Glam background and the 'W' in the middle is from the Monogram Set...amazingly gorgeous!

Each of the Creative Team members are so inspiring to me...I LOVE how each of these women are different...see things differently. create things differently...yet, add a touch of AWE to everything they do. I LOVE them!!! Aren't they amazing!

Happy October 31st, a word about creativity & a little gift!

It's the last day of October. Which means: 
1. last day of my birth month. whaaa.
 2. 31st=Halloween. i love dressing up.
3. last day of the PINK month!  I was invited to be a part of a great month over at Pink Cake Plate & my post was today.

“I believe all ideas are sprinkled from heaven…it’s up to us what we do with them.”

Each of us have ideas & inspiration come to us everyday. Whether it’s a creative idea, a helpful idea, a kind idea, or even a funny idea….i believe they are sprinkled from heaven.
And it’s up to US to use them in a way that will uplift and inspire others around us. This month’s PINK inspires me to use my ideas to help others as it reminds me that every single person we see is going through a difficult time.
Life isn’t easy…some of us face challenges with health, cancer, job issues, family problems….NOT ONE of us is immune…& when we have an idea pop in our mind to help someone, or create something for someone…I believe we need to follow that!….we can bring a piece of heaven to others…& in turn…ourselves."


I've been thinking a lot about this lately *specifically with our creative ideas* (coming off of Spark No. 3)& have so many thoughts & feelings about our ideas....& how we use them. Where they come from, how we credit the ideas & how we share them with others...

It's a learning process & I think it's so important to remember that the ideas we are getting are NOT ours....they are from a place much higher than ourselves...we are INSPIRED & we can choose to hoard that & not share it & get upset if something or someone is *similar* to us, OR

and I hope we choose the OR:

we can share more ideas, enjoy seeing others' ideas & always focus on progressing....and always exercising your creative muscle...every. day. like in my 100 Creativity Exercises.

It stifles creativity when we hoard those ideas (which is the whole premise behind Spark & why it was created)...I believe you need to SHARE your Spark & not get all catty about it..ya know?
