More fun with Instagram & apps....a Bubble Frame Giveaway!

So...I've had many of my Instagram followers asking me about an app I've been using that is called: Bubble Frame! It's sooo fun! I"m in LOVE with it! 

It allows you to add their backgrounds & then photos in a circle format. I've been testing the NEW version where it allows you to do circular text! Isn't that cool?

I did this one yesterday for the Photo-A-Day challenge by @fatmumslim....can you believe it's the 7th month?  Crazy! The Insta-Lovin' fonts from Rhonna Designs are used on here, too! Love that Phonto will allow you to use my fonts!!!! *fave thing ever!**

CHA Summer 2012: Sneak Peek...All is Bright

It's that time of year....the CHA Show sneak peeks are coming out & today, I'm sharing some peeks of my new collection with My Mind's Eye: All is Bright.

Yes, it is basically my 'Christmas Junque' line I created for Christmas 2011...but, NOW, it's offered with physical goodies like:

it's the stories of our lives that count....and a GIVEAWAY!

everyday we are adding to our story. I'm such a visual person...I think this is why I love to blog. It's my way of adding photos or something 'visual' to my story.  It's my way of sharing or preserving our memories...like a scrapbook. 

In our busy lives, I love to have my phone w/ me & take a picture of what I'm doing...the apps are crazy cool & i'm in LOVE with Instagram...It's an easy way for me to share my story, preserve it & post it..then, print it with Postal Pix or something like that!

There's been a January Photo of the Day challenge going all month started by Chantelle in Australia.  I have loved taking pix everyday to tell our story.

She's starting another one for February...jump in if you missed it, cuz it's really a lot of fun...a perfect way to visually tell your daily story with your phone & camera!

If you don't have Instagram...just try telling your story via photo a day on your blog...I'd love to see that!

Telling our stories is so important & that's why I'm soo excited to share this with you....have you heard of The Story at Home Conference?

It's a local conference here in Utah on March 9-10, 2012...at the amazing Temple Square. It focuses on telling our story...blogging. family history. visually...whatever it is...this is for you.

Ok, so now, I wanted to take you in a bit with the Kiss Me Collection.  I am in LOVE with it! & designed it with colors, textures, looks & feels that juxtapose romantic vintage with a modern twist...i love doing that. At our house, we call it: Mintage! LOL!

aannndd: Word Art! LOVE these so much! Add them to any of the papers for a super fast scrapbook page or card. oooh la la!

So...I realize the colors are not 'traditional'....(I'm not very traditional when it comes to my designing. *wink*) But, if you are & you love the designs, but want different colors...this is when digital files are SO fab! Remember the handy dandy re-coloring tricks I taught you HERE?  Well...that same technique can be used on your Kiss Me collection, too! From the light rose color original....to THIS! brighter pinks!

To simply Re-color, you'd go into Photoshop & go to: IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>HUE/SATURATION & your window would pop up like this. Simply adjust the sliders until you get the color you want. Remember to fiddle with the Huge, Saturation AND Lightness to achieve very cool colors.

And this heart paper is so fab in its original design of kraft & blush, but if you want a different look...try this one:

Or...how about an even softer look?  See? Same papers, but totally different looks! Love it!

Now...I wanted to show you another way to re-color called: Replace Color.  It works a different way, in that you select ONE color & replace it. & only it. So...for the striped paper, if the rose color wasn't doing it for you & you wanted it red: go to: IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>REPLACE COLOR

This box will pop up:

Then,  you will take your 'eye dropper' & select the color you want to change. Since this particular paper has solid striped & textured background, it works perfectly to recolor JUST the stripes & keep the vintage texture in the background. I just adjusted my sliders to get a red & voila! The paper is YOUR fave color scheme!
