Valentine Place Mats...chalk aRt!

I'm giddy for tomorrow. I LOVE Valentine's Day------> The day to really spoil the ones i LOVE!

My mom did the same thing...we'd wake up to a festive breakfast & always made it a special day...it was always *magical*! Like mother. Like daughter...she's instilled this in me! *wink*

So...I've got pinks going on...lots of LOVE & did something fun! I took some of those plain paper place mats, a stick of chalk (along w/ a few of my tips & tricks) & created custom Valentines! 

These are the big place mats that come in all colors, but when I saw these black ones, all I could think about was chalking them! So fun...I will most likely set them at the table tomorrow morning & surprise them with some *magic*! What are YOU doing to make things *magical* around your home tomorrow?

Chalkboard Valentines---->Rhonna Style

I always love sharing my ideas & designs with others. And today, the fab folks at our CBS TV affiliate station,  invited me to share my Chalkboard Valentines ideas on the Fresh Living Show! Thanks, Debbie & Casey- it's always fun! There are so many fun ideas you can do with my Chalkboard Cheer Printables!  One of my fave ways is just printing them out & framing them; either IN a frame OR on a simple clipboard like this:

 I shared a bunch of ideas on printing out at full size: 100% so it's 8x10 & can be framed.

And then printing out at 75% or 50% or even 35% for smaller versions! See the cute little valentines tucked away in the kraft envelopes?

Of course, I've added The KISS Collection to this & used the Printable Template to create the paper bows (mega, large & full sized) that are downloaded HERE for free! 

One thing about these cute Chalkboard Cheer Printables, is....when you purchase a single design, you also get a BONUS digital stamp/brush set with all 10 of the designs in it! So, for you digital savvy crafters....you can use the brushes on a Kraft background, cut out a heart like this 'Love' heart for a different look!

Ok...sit down for this one.  Melissa is going to WOW you! She's one of our wreath makers-extraordinaire & I love all of her projects! Well, she says:

I was getting ready to make a Valentine wreath then got tired of buying new wreath forms all the time. So I had the idea to wrap the form with lace, then use it for ALL the season.... The decorations are just pinned on with straight pins so I can pull them off and then reuse the wreath. I figure I can show it a few ways this year when you've got new stuff coming out.  So far I've made Valentines day and a Happy Birthday one, with stuff cut out for Spring.

cReative Team Tuesday: Valentines

I've LOVED seeing what my cReative team has been doing w/ The Kiss Collection! And wow...so many of you on Instagram have been killing it, too! Keep sharing your cReations w/ me!

Today, Nancy Wyatt will knock your socks off! I LOVE her cReativity & love how she created these printable gift bags & Valentines!

She says: 

I decorated a gift bag with the KISS printable papers and decorated the pipe cleaner with an edge piece.  Then I printed out some of the KISS edges onto 3m matte label sticker paper and created my own washi tapes to decorate the card. 

I mean...really? Isn't this THE cutest gift ever? I'm just SMITTEN! *wink* Love her paper bow, love the 'a' on the paper...oh my...I just LOVE it all, Nancy! Sooo cute! You've got one lucky friend who will be receiving this from you!

DIY Valentine cRaft ideas

I am sick in bed. I've pinned & surfed &....well...I'm not in a position to get the rest of my photos in place for the last of the 14 Valentine ideas series. so sorry...but, I did have an idea. (and of course it came through my 100 Creativity Exercises that I still do, even when I'm sick) & that is: Look at something differently. Turn it upside down, sideways, backwards. Figure it out...creatively.

so...I give you my vintage Valentine ideas from last year & a couple of years ago...I still love these ideas...so, let' get to idea no. 9: Valentine in a bottle. Goes right in hand with yesterday's Fresh Living segment.

When I was at the studio, the guests the day before were April & Lindsay from The Sweet Life...perfect! Because this project was in their magazine last year! LOL! 

So...run on over to my vintage ideas & there's a DIY HERE so you can make this, too!

idea no. 10: Napkin Flowers

Just like last year, my husband & I are putting on a Valentine Dance for 1000+ college students.

And, I've got all of these fabuloh-so napkin flowers to adorn the tables & decor! Again...here's a DIY How-to so you can create these too!

idea no. 11: Heart Candy Boxes

This polka dot heart box, from 2010, is a fun one...even if you don't have a heart box, you can make your own or use any kind of box...the fun thing about this project is adding the polka dots to the box with circle labels....so easy & cute!

idea no. 12: Coffee Filter Heart

Creating coffee filter fluffs is super easy...in this video tutorial, I show you how to create the fluff flowers...but, then in THIS video tutorial, I show you how to put them in a heart shaped box. But, remember, you can just cut out a heart from a cardboard box & put the cute fluffs all over. Super easy!

idea no. 13: Rolled Fabric Flowers

This is still one of my fave things...printing out Rhonna Designs onto printable silks, satins, or broadcloth & creating these fabric flowers as shown in the video DIY Tutorial HERE.
