Rhonna Design is Apple's App of the Week!

When Apple contacted us to be their featured App of the Week I think I might have screamed a bit! We are so excited and honored to be THE app of the week in the App Store!

So, for a limited time...you can get the app for FREEEE! I know, crazy, right? I mean...it's already such a great deal for $1.99, but w/ the App of the Week, Apple offers it to you for free! So, if you were on the fence about it...run on over to get the Rhonna Designs App for free! 

And, since it's free...we are up on the FREE charts...and look: NUMBER ONE! Now...i know this fluctuates by the minute...but, I happened to screen shot it right when it was side by side w/ Instagram! So...I'll take that! so excited and of course a HUUUUGE thanks to all of YOU!

Seriously, Devin Pitcher, is a genius and he has developed my RD app along w/ Holly's, his wife, app: Bubbleframe. YOU NEED BOTH! lol...seriously..I use them both! love them!

Remember, all of the art that is in the app can be purchased on Rhonna Designs in the high resolution files.  Like the 4 new Insta fonts are all bundled up & offered for $30! loooove it! I think my fave thing about these files is the actual font files that are vectors...which means you can make them as big as you need...AND they cut in any cutting machine, like the Silhouette Cameo, that uses font files! LOOOOVE it again!

Since this is an app that was designed to give you creativity on-the-go & glam up your iPhoneography, we wanted to share some printing options with you! 

1. Our favorite online printers, Persnickety Prints, print off your RD app photos in various sizes: 2x2, 3x3, 4x4! On amazingly gorgeous papers! AND, for you Project Lifers, you can also go into your crop tool, pinch your photo so it has the white on the edges & when you send them to Persnickety to print, choose Crop Option #1 when you are on their site and let THEM do it for you! They will cut them to 3x4- perfect to slip in your PJ covers!  And...the metallic, pearl, linen papers are seriously amazing!

2. You can also use your ZINK hAppy printers to print off 2x2, or cute little photos like I've got shown here.  I LOVE the 'zero ink'- adhesive-photos that can be printed anytime anywhere!

3. If you are still looking for higher resolution options for your photos and designs, we will always be offering the high resolution design kits ON the Rhonna Designs site.  We have the NEW design pack offered in single Insta Fonts for $10 or bundled as No. 5 Insta Lovin' bundle for only $30! 

Remember, these include the hi rez .ABR digital brush/stamp files, the .TTF font files that can be used in any program AND as cutting files for your cutting machines like the Silhouette Cameo AND the black .PNG files that can be used as clip art in any program!  Also, when you need Rhonna Designs for anything to promote a company/biz for profit, we offer Limited Commercial Licenses, too!

We are still hoping to be able to offer it in a droid version, but...the learning continues. There are some BIG differences in developing an app for droids because:

- with so many different devices, each with different screen sizes, aspect ratios, and screen properties it can be difficult to develop/build in a way that works well on all devices. 

- the development tools for Android are very different to what Apple provides.

- you usually need a wide assortment of devices to test on since there are just so many varieties of devices

So, you see...lots of things to consider & go through...but, we LOVE our droid fans, too & so we hope to get working on it!

**REMEMBER: The Insta Fonts available on Rhonna Designs site CAN still be used in apps like Phonto, so you CAN still play with Rhonna Designs on your phone & upload to Instagram!

HUUUUGe thanks to Hawaii's tv KVAL! I found Yasmin on Instagram & we chatted back & forth a bit...my sweet friend Erin Mixon had recommended my Rhonna Designs App for their App of the Week and.....HERE IT IS!

ZINK hAppy & Rhonna Designs App- perfect marriage!

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the perfect combo of the new ZINK hAppy inkless printer and my Rhonna Designs App!

So, in the Rhonna Designs App, I created these black & white photos...added cute lil sayings, fonts, & designs and then in the wifi settings on my phone, switched over to ZINK hAppy wireless printer & voila: I printed them out on the 2" paper roll! It's adhesive on back, so I just peeled them apart (it automatically cuts it) & put them on this plain kraft journal!

 I added some of my hand drawn doodling w/ a liquid chalk marker & I've got this cute, one of a kind journal! So fun!

Also, you'll notice I took the little chalkboard word art design that I created in the Rhonna Designs App, printed, peeled off & stuck right onto a mini kraft journal & then got busy doodling w/ a Sharpie! Super easy. Super unique. Super fast & fun! LOVE it!

For this fun little project, I spray painted the white Ikea frame w/ my fave gold spray paint from Krylon.

Took some of my new Chalk Studios 6x6 paper pad & added a 2" print of my family w/ 3 1" prints from the ZINK hAppy, too! so fun & cute!

Wow...THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the amazing support & LOVE for our new Rhonna Designs photo editing app! We are #1 in Photo & Video category on the charts...in the 'new & noteworthy' & have been so thrilled with all of you sharing the love! We love your feedback & will do our best to continue making it the best photo editing app EVER with each update!

Q: What if I already have your Insta Fonts?

A: Then, that's AWESOME! The difference between the app & the actual Insta Font kits on my site are resolution & ability.  See, the app is the only place you can use the fonts or 'Design Packs' as they are called. BUT, with the Insta Font kits you get high resolution .ABR brushes/stamps, black PNG files AND the .TTF (True Type) font that is in a vector format which allows you to enlarge w/o losing resolution. And **my personal fave** you can use on your Silhouette Cameo cutting system w/ their Designer pack. I mean...really? cutting out the designs in vinyl, paper, etc? YES, pLease! So, don't dispair...both are fab! 

Q: Will an Android version be available?

A: I'm HOPING to be able to offer it in a droid version, but...I'm learning a LOT about app development! See, there are some BIG differences in developing an app for droids because:

I designed the app with the 'whole enchilada' in mind.  I wanted you to be able to have frames, filters, masks, designs and text fonts to use in ONE app! and I wanted to offer enough that you could create for years! *wink* But...with that said: my cReative mind is always going 100 miles a minute & I will be offering 'add-on' design packs that you can purchase in-app every once in a while for .99. What a steal! *grin* Obviously, you don't have to purchase more if you don't want to...because there will be PLENTY of fun in the initial app!  P.S. I already have NEW designs & 'colorful stickers' to add into the app! But, we didn't want to keep delaying. SO this will be part of the new update! fun, huh?

Q: Will the app be available worldwide?

A: YES! We love our fans all over the world and wherever there's an iTunes store, there will be the Rhonna Designs app!

Q: What is the resolution & can I print?
A: YES! We love printing our photos all 'dolled up' w/ Rhonna Designs App! Now, while this app is not meant to be blown up to 12x12 (high rez designs will always be available on Rhonna Designs) you CAN print out w/ our very fave printers: Persnickety Prints! In fact, they look fab in 4x4 or even printed in their Instagram Polaroids for Project Lifers! 

Q: Is there a step by step to help me learn how to use the app?

BYU Women's Conference re-cap: uplifting and inspiRing

You know my mantra, my catch phrase, my mission: uplift and inspire. I really try to do this in all of my designs, my ideas, my social media...my everyday life. Rhonna Designs is a part of me, but it's not all of me. I do like to share my personal life sometimes, too! And my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a HUGE part of my personal life. 

So, this past week, I was able to spend time w/ my mom at a conference for women & feel the overall message of : JOY. It was soooo uplifting and inspiring. She's been out of the country for the past 15 years on & off serving for our Church. And, my parents have completed their service & are home in AZ now. So...anytime I have to spend w/ my mom WILL be uplifting and inspiRing- for sure!

She came up to spend time w/ me during BYU's Women's Conference. And let me tell you...it was 2 full days of pure INSPIRATION! For more info on the conference, you can go HERE. 

I love that you get to choose which classes to take...I listened to my heart & followed it, going to the classes that I felt would uplift and inspire me as a woman, wife, mother, & friend.  Also, in my church calling as Stake Primary President! I loved ALL of the classes, but my very favorite session was the General Primary Presidency! WOW>>>> talk about POWERFUL women! I felt empowered, loved & strengthened & got ideas & answers to what I need to be doing in my church responsibilities! 

One of my favorite parts is the service projects we get to do. I wasn't able to attend the evening service project stations, but I did get to take & make these sweet Happy Hearts we made. They are for hospitals & shelters...something soft & comforting for those in pain. I loved thinking of a sweet child holding this little heart that would remind them that they are a child of God & they are loved. 

Since it's so close to my home, I went home in the evening to be w/ my family & be a mom & wife. But, I missed out on the evening activities....my bestie & I decided next year we will stay in the dorms like my mom did & go the entire time! *wink* 

Every bit of the conference was amazing....I shared thoughts & quotes that uplifted & inspired me on my Instagram account and my twitter account. 

Loved seeing & reading what others were feeling, too. Love the world of social media & how the hashtags can bring us together! #byuwc is a great place to check out the tweets & IG feeds of others!

Thanks to EVERYONE involved....it was a huge success! I encourage any of you to go next year..I know I will ge there for sure!

cReative Team Tuesday...One Little Word & SNAP re-cap

I was lucky enough to spend the weekend at the SNAP Creative Blogging Conference....& here goes my re-cap! Along w/ learning TONS...I also got to spend time w/ 4 of my Rhonna Designs cReative Team Members: Emily Hill, Heather Thoming, Jamie Pate & Melissa Mortenson. Seriously...I think this was the highlight of the entire conference. Each time I got to spend a few min. w/ one of them I considered myself very lucky...uplifted & inspired for sure!

We got to take a photo booth pic (but, we missed our cute Melissa!) 

LOVED being able to pass 400+ of these out in the SWAG bags for all attendees! Again, Persnickety Prints rocked this frame-able Rhonna Designs quote art in their amazing pearl card stock!(remember the one from last year? You can purchase it HERE!)

Another highlight was teaching w/ the fab Susan Peterson (Freshly Picked) & Shelley Smith (House of Smiths) for our Instahance class on Instagram & HOW to up your game! We started out w/ a little dance partay *uhuh* & then Shelley got us started by giving us tips & tricks on HOW to take the best pix w/ your phone...tips on lighting, apps, how to hold the camera, etc.   I learned tons from these girls...

  It was so fun! I shared my tips on apps. My fave apps & how I saw things & design my Instagrams! We had tip cards we handed out (& THE best printer ever helped us w/ that*wink* Thx Persnickety Prints!) aaaandd....do you see that app at the bottom right? YUP! It's the Rhonna Designs App! It's coming soooooon! so so excited!

Susan blew our minds w/ her business savvy advice including when the top times to post are, her advice on giveaways, hashtag etiquette, etc.  Seriously LOVE speaking on this panel.  Not only are Susan & Shelley amazingly creative bloggers/business women, but they are SO much stinkin' FUN! I loved every minute!

We ended w/ a Q&A & Susan shared this quote that I thinks brings it ALL together:

Seriously...that Conan is one wise man!  And this quote extends to all areas of your life; womanhood, friendship, family & associates...if we work hard & are kind amazing things really will happen! And, I felt like such amazing things happened at this conference...thanks everyone for being so KIND! Tauni & all of the event planners...you guys are amazing!

Had so much fun hanging out w/ my sweet Whippy Cake, & meeting some of my fave peeps: Lisa, Jessica, Jen, Brittany, Holly, Laura, & Angelina...oh mercy...I could go on & on! LOVED it! And I'm GIDDY to see all of the attendees loving the INSTASNAP font & using it on their photos & hashtaggin: #rhonnadesigns #heyrhonna! Our closing keynote speaker, Julie Hanks, spoke to my heart. We were lucky enough to have her sitting at our table & got to chat about what she was going to be talking about...oh my! She is an amazing women & I'm soo excited for her book that's coming out soon! The things she talked about hit home & helped me re-focus on my One Little Word  & My One Little Goal ....

Be. Strong. I'm doing it & I'm loving the journey! 

And, speaking of the POWEr of the One Little Word, my dear friend, Margie, did a spot on Studio 5 about her word...loved it. love her. great job, sweets! Loved when Brooke talked about Margie's 'TRUES'...yup... that's us! True to the end! THAT is the power that can come through being kind, working hard & amazing things happening!

RD Insta Class ONLINE Workshop is LIVE!

Ok, after many technical difficulties this past month...I finally was able to get my Rhonna Designs Instagram workshop ONLINE! This is basically the same one I have been teaching locally at Dear Lizzie & Thanksgiving Point, but NOW those that aren't local can take this workshop ONLINE!

It's a 1 Hour Video Workshop w/ 5 Insta Fonts download (.TTF font file only)

This includes instructions and the password to access my RD Insta Class ONLINE Workshop!!
