NEW Chalkboard art printables at Rhonna Designs

You asked for it- you got it! Introducing my Halloween & Autumn Chalkboard Art printables! We had so many requests for this, it was fun to do!
Each design is hand lettered & digitized so YOU can simply print them out! They come in 8x10 300 dpi & I adore these printed out on matte photo card stock for a rich, velvety look! soooo scrumptious!

Frame them, put them on clipboards, print them out at a smaller size to create little cards, stickers, vignettes...the list goes on!

Also, IF you want to print out larger, since they are in 300 dpi, you can run on over to your local Staples, or online, & go to their Engineer prints HERE. The look is different...it's not as black...not velvelty, but a 'blue print' look --industrial, grunged...you get the picture! But, you CAN get them larger! Also....my fave for the BEST quality is, of course, Persnickety Prints! You can get enlargements there! LOVE a different look of the chalkboard art on the metallic papers! so cool!

Each of these designs are also offered to you tech savvy creatives that like to change up the colors by stamping them w/ digital brushes/stamps! Offered in the same Halloween & Autumn designs. AND there's a plain black chalkboard background that's in the kits as well. So, something for everyone!
enjoy & Happy October!

How Do You DO That? Digital to Printables

With the release of the NEW Spring Circus kits, there are always question HOW to use the kits if you are not a digital scrapbooker or digital diva!
When you print out these digital files & craft with them...it's called Hybrid Crafting...& that's what we'll be talking about today.

Basically, you can use all of the kits to print out & enjoy, except the actual Brush files. So....here's a little help on HOW to do that!
Ok, the first kit I want to talk about is the Paper Card Printables kit...These are offered in PDF format which can be opened in ANY program! Yes, ANYONE that has a computer & printer can use these at home.
Once you download your kit, unzip it & then OPEN up the PDF file. Now, depending on what kind of software you have on your computer, your PDF file will open up & you just send it to your printer & print off.

IF you choose to use these kits to print at a office supply store or copy center, be sure you are familiar with the licensing....some stores will ask you about it.  Our personal license states in sections III & VII that as long as you are not changing anything & only printing for personal use....no commercial use/compensation.

This Card kit is designed with 2 funky 5x7 fold over cards with a cute little stamp on the back. The edges have some word art that can be cut out & used for the inside of the card...or other projects. So, print out, cut & fold for easy & gorgeous cards!

The above image with the Printable Journal cards has got to be my fave.  Small 'playing' cards can be used for journaling, note cards, labels, or how about sewing them together for a cool & funky banner?

And the last sheet in this kit is the plain cards: Invitations, greeting cards...whatever you want!

These were designed to be a one sided card, post card, or even a photo card for your scrapbooks! The bottom greetings are sized perfectly for the shape of the banner....It would be cool to *pop* them up on there! I envisioned these blank insides for a photo, a handwritten note, or IF you are savvy...you can OPEN up the PDF file in Photoshop & apply one of the Spring Circus  brushes, Tattoos, or just type a message on there and then print out!

Also...one of the great things about printing at home is the various printing mediums out there. I LOVE experimenting with printable fabric, sticker paper, window decals, tattoo paper, iron on transfer paper, clear transparency paper or even clear sticker paper! Have fun with these!

Now...all of the other digital kits can be used as digital art OR they can also be printed out. For example...
this gorgeous Spring Paper kit can be printed out on gorgeous ink jet matte photo paper.
& WOW...it's amazingly gorgeous! This kit comes in JPG files which are just like Photo files. So, how ever you print your photos (at home, Costco...or my fave: Persnickety Prints) you can just upload them as you would your photos. See? not so scary, huh?

The other kits: Borders, Tags & Tattoos are all in colored PNG files. Now, think of PNG files as Clip Art. You can actually print them out as you would Clip Art....so, any program you use Clip Art in (like Word) you can just use the PNG files to resize & put on an 8 1/2 x 11 page.  Cool, Huh?

The only kit that can't be used in other programs is the Brush kit...since the ABR brush file is specifically for Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.
But, I do have to say...if you are DYING over the designs & want them in black...as Clip Art...you CAN still purchase the kit & use the black PNG files as Clip Art. *just sayin'*

OK.

Now...a word about paper.
All inkjet paper is not created equally. I've had people emailing us with questions as to WHY the color isn't as it appears on the monitor...chances are (IF your monitor & printer are properly calibrated) it's your paper choice. I LOVE this paper: Epson Presentation Paper. It's just plain paper weight, but the colors are rich & beautiful...not washed out or too faded. *sometimes you may want that look, so keep that in mind*  See the bottom paper? It's printed out on plain inkjet copy paper...Look at the others...much more true to color...bright, rich & soo lush!

I also have an Epson R2000 printer, so keep that in mind, too. You may need to do some of your own experimenting to see what papers work best with your printer.

For card stock weight, I LOVE this paper: Epson Premium Matte Double sided photo paper. Again, rich gorgeous color. And double sided means you get the same quality on each side...so fun!

Don't mind me...I"m just printing out all of the Spring Circus stuff to create.... Have an uplifting & inspiRing weekend!

a closer look at 'A Year To Follow Your Heart' 2012 Calendar & Printables

This is my mantra for this year.
Follow Your Heart.
I learned so much last year, and have a feeling this year will be even better!  You'll be seeing a lot of 'Follow Your Heart' soon. *wink*

But, I wanted to give you a bit of the background of this whole collection.
( a little personal here, so if that bothers, you...well. you've been warned.)

Last year, I was going through a very difficult time with my health. I knew it was time for me to make a lot of changes, even though that broke my heart...and step back from everything I was doing.
I also knew that I'd made choices that were making me work way too hard & was taking a toll on my health & family. I was losing steam. creative, physical, emotional...I had to change.
So...I really had to reflect.
In the Spring, I started to get a bit better as I focused on my health...I came up with the 6 Week Shape Up challenge on my blog & each week I created these bits of art that were healing me. Art is therapy. This is so true.
So, each bit of 'Follow My Heart' is a bit of healing art..it is my heart.

So, I LOVE these new kits They mean a lot to me. I've been printing out & creating MyBook Planner/journal with the 'A Year To Follow Your Heart' Printable kit & loving the book I'm creating!
It's a work in progress...just as this whole year will be. But, I've come up with my first 6 Week Shape Up!
I've got 6 weeks until our anniversary...& I'm pumped & ready to rock & roll!

So, the amazing thing about this kit is that it's filled with all sorts of digital and printable files that you can use to uplift & inspire you all through the year!

This is my cover. I printed out the 'Follow Your Heart' page & then wrote my vision of what I want this year.
Inside, I printed out all of the 6x8 pages & put them in the sleeves of the journal/planner. Here, I can write each day how my goals are going, etc.  So, I'm using it more like a journal than a planner...but, I love it!
The 6 week shape up pages are PERFECT for me right now. Each of these pages is stapled on each week of the specified 6 weeks. fab, no?
Aand, don't forget the tiny little journaling cards. perfectly delish. & so cute to have in this planner. I love them!
The 21 Challenge pages are geared towards prompting you through a challenge of your own...When you put them in the planner, you can use them for the days you need. I love it.

Ideally, you'd do the 21 Challenge first...those 3 weeks create your habit. THEN, you'd use the 6 week shape up pages & prompts. to build on what you learned & did in the 21 Challenge.  I did it a bit different since my time frame is exactly 6 weeks!
The Calendar is scrumptious, too! Each month is designed in a 6x6 format. You can print them out & put magnets on them, or bind them, or print out the PDF Printables that are mini-callies! 4x4! So cute!
And, each month has art & quotes that will uplift & inspire you!

so....I always LOVE to see what you've done with Rhonna Designs! Look What Laura did with the Monogram Junque kit! soo cute for Valentine's day! I adore it!!! Thanks so much, Laura...you are amazing! Check out her blog! and the tutorial HERE

Speaking of....I'm almost ready to release Valentine 2012 kits...I'm giddy! So, be watching for that...
AND...something I've been keeping under wraps for a while is finally here...I can spill the beans tomorrow...so come on over!
until then...

I love this whole vibe...perfect for any celebration for the super heroes in your life.
1.2.3.

For today's How Do You Do That? segment...
I wanted to show you how my sister used these kits to throw her own party....
She has a new baby,
is moving &
her little super hero turned 5! (Happy Birthday, Adam!)
So, she needed a super fast & easy party to throw together...

aaaanndd:
Rhonna Designs to the rescue!
She simply printed out all of the Super Comic Party Printables onto cardstock, sticker paper & other papers to create a truly SUPER party!
Amy is an amazing stylist, & she's got the knack of making things look fabulous in a jiffy...but anyone can when you look at HOW she did it!
Look at how she added pom pom trim behind the Party Banner Printables! LOVE!

and. just look at the cute party hats she put in the hurricanes...a*dore this brilliant idea!

One of the pieces to the Printable Party is the Cupcake N Labels Kit.  The Labels can be used for water bottles, printed on sticker paper for gift wrapping annnddd....
sewn together to create a mobile!

Seriously! I had NOT thought of this, but when I saw it I thought:
DUH....how cool is that?

She simply sewed these down the center & added some of the Circle Seals along with her stash of Vintage Comics...Love it!

Party cakes were all Fabb-ed up with the Circle Seals, too!
She stuck them on the skewers & voila! Fast & easy Birthday Cakes!
(the KaPOW is in the Circle Seals, Digital Rub ons & Brushes kits
And the Batman logo she used over one of the Burst Brushes!...easy to design your own stuff!)

The Candy Cones *& Party Hat kits are similar, but the Cones are a smaller version of the hats...so, they can both be used to have some fun with all ages!
(notice in the pic the size difference)
She added crepe paper, & made all sorts o' goodies lickety split...
oh so fast!
See how she incorporated the Super Hero she wanted to customize her party to? I love that about this kit...it's all SUPER>>>>& everyone can use it with Superman, Batman, Captain America...yea!

Look at this cute little hero...
I think he's SUPER at 5!
One cool thing about the Digital Brush kit is that it comes with numbers 1-12 for your own hero's birthday age! You can totally customize the invites, etc!

So, the great thing about these kits is:
you can purchase separately OR you can purchase in a Printable Party Pack
or a
both at a great discount.

a closeR look at gRateful glam

Whether you live in the States or Canada & celebrate Thanksgiving> or if you live somewhere around the world....everyone loves to create with a Grateful Heart....
& this Grateful Glam collection is perfect for any kind of project:
card making,
hyrbrid crafting,
digital scrapbooking,
photography,
blogging,
DIY home decor...
you name it...
This collection is a gorgeous tool for you to create projects to uplift & inspire!

I'm so excited about this Grateful Glam Paper pack! The colors are inspired by Autumn & what's hot now:
Grey, Yellow & Sage.
The patterns are an ecclectic mix of vintage receipts, grids & ledger.
Add a splash of modern florals, lattice & quatrefoil & voila!
You have a kit that has 12 backgrounds that can be used over & over again in ANY projects.  10 of the backgrounds are very versatile, while 2 have Gratitude specific words on them.  LOVE it!
Like all of my Rhonna Designs Printable background papers, you get all of the designs in 2 sizes: this paper pack is offered in 8x10 or 12x12 so no matter what size you need....you are covered!

Ok. This is where I get really excited!  This Cards N Tags kit is sooo fun!  It comes in 10 different designs.  3x5 sized AND a full 8x10 Printable where they are sized smaller: business card size (2 x 3.33)!!!  These darling little gems are perfect for slipping a card into someone's lunch box, under a pillow, wrapped on a gift...OR...I totally see these with family's names on them on the Thanksgiving Table.
I'm thinking: perfect for a Gratitude Tree...hanging from branches where everyone writes down what they are thankful for.

And the smaller cards can be printed & cut out... smaller versions & oh. so. cute! imagine: mini banners sewn together, strung across your tablescape, mantle piece, or doorway! Love!

And...of course. This digital brush set is so gorgeous & can be used in so many things to create masterpieces. There really is no limit with what you can create stamping these babies on everything:
cards.
photos.
word art.
scrapbook layouts.
blog posts.

& then using them to print out...hybrid crafting...ahh! the best!

**NOTE: For little tips & tricks with this kit...remember to refer to THIS tutorial. It teaches you how to use some of the brushes in this kit for a cool effect.  There are SOOO many things you can do with digital brushes.  I can't even touch on it all....hence, the step by step tutorials in the How Do You Do That series.  We'll be going from the simplest steps like loading & stamping to more advanced techniques...so, keep up & enjoy the pRocess of learning How to Use & cReate with digital brushes.

And...the Tags N Flags Printables are so great. I've used them on so many things already! It comes with 3 different Printable sheets....This first one is little flags that can be made into mini banners, dessert toppers on toothpicks, or cut & folded to be used on cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor...you name it!
Did you see how cReative Team member Jamie used them? Love this!

She put them on sticks as Home Decor & mixed them with the Spooky Junque Banner Kit! Darling!

The other 2 printable pages offered in the Tags N Flags Kit are both perfect for printing out on paper or sticker paper....making your own stickers, letters, tags, etc.

Both have quotes & words that are gratitude geared...I love them! Cut out little snippets for scrapbooking layouts, or cards.

OR
This one is automatic STICKER sheet....cut out the words OR just the letters. All coordinating with the Grateful Glam kits AND versatile enough to be used with any other crafting supplies & embellies.

So many great things to create with these kits....I"m so uplifted & inspired by what the cReative Team always does....I'd also love to see what YOU do with them!
