Spring Crafting with Vintage Indie

I LOVE Gabreial over at Vintage Indie...have you checked out her site? It's always uplifting & inspiring~ 

So, when she asked me to be a part of her Creative series, I was so excited! 

This project can be done with children, by yourself, or as a girls' craft night! Super easy & fun Spring Decor in minutes!

Supplies Needed: 

Natural Branches

container

floral foam

scissors

1 1/2 scalloped circle punch or round punch (optional)

Easter grass/paper shred

birds, flowers, butterflies, mushrooms....anything 'Spring' that you have around

Glue Gun/Glue sticks

Glitter

Twine/String

glue/mod podge

Spring Circus Paper Background

& Easter Celebrations Sayings Printable

Note: Easter Sayings comes with many letters that can spell various words: Celebrate, Spring, Happy Easter, Spring Has Sprung, Beauty, Happy Spring.

Steps:

1. Print out Spring Circus Papers, die cut into butterflies, add glitter to the edges.

2. Cut out Leaves & Butterflies w/ die cuts or hand cut.

3. Print out Easter Sayings, punch w/ a 1 1/2" scallop punch, glitter around edges. (If you don't have a circle punch, just letters out in rectangles & snip a 'V' in the bottom to create a little banner)

(dip in glue or modpodge & dip in glitter)

4. Hot glue letters onto twine. set a side.

5. Gather supplies & put together the branch by sticking it into the floral foam in the bottom of the container.

(You may need to secure w/ some hot glue)

6. Add Easter grass or paper shred to the base of the branches.

7. Get creative by adding a dab of hot glue directly onto the branch & adding the leaves & butterflies you cut out. At the base, add flowers, tags, butterflies, birds...whatever you've got on hand.

8. Tie the 'Celebrate' banner onto your branch & step back to enjoy your creations!

Voila! A touch of Spring can be added to any corner of your house, office, or studio! Enjoy!

Rhonna Designs + My Mind's Eye: Follow Your Heart

Today I am excited to share a project I did for the NEW My Mind's Eye blog!

I LOVE combining my collection with My Mind's Eye: Follow Your Heart with my digital Printables: Rhonna Designs....& here are some fun cones that mix them both...Spring Crafting with a little garland!

To create the Cones:

Supplies:

Follow Your Heart Stamps/ink

Doilies

Rhonna Designs Printables

Steps:

Print, cut & create the Cones.

Stamp along the edges with the Follow Your Heart stamps

Fill with goodies!

Easy, right? YES!

 Embellish with doilies, die cut butterflies, stamped tags, etc!

To create the garland:

I took mini cupcake papers, flowers, & pieces of the Follow Your Heart collection 6x6 papers & cut into scalloped circles & just threaded them onto twine to create this fun Spring garland!

For that cute lacey top, I cut out a doily & snipped it in quarters, glued to the top & voila! Pretty lacey toppers!  The middle cone is just stamped with my fave Follow Your Heart Stamps & then goodies are tied up in crepe paper & inserted into the cone with a little stick & cute flag I made my stamping onto paper & wrapping on the stick! Easy & fun!

How DO You DO That? DIY Easter Bonnets & Baskets

The Easter Bonnet Printables are so versatile & will be so fun for your Easter Celebrations! 

My creative team member, Jing, created these cute Easter Baskets out of the cones...LOVE them, don't you?

She printed out the Printables & also added the cute Easter Celebrations: Stamp Art Printables in there, too! mmm...these are just scrumptious!

Attach the handles with glue,rivets or brads, fill with Easter grass, candy & other treats for a gorgeous version of an Easter Basket!

I had fun making a *masculine* version of these for my little man. 

I LOVE the Burlap one...it says: You are my sunshine...& that's exactly what he is! I added the 'S' from the Easter Celebrations Printable kit & filled it w/ grass & eggs w/ treats!

Of course, there is always the option of creating these as a little Easter Party Hat...or bonnet! 

Just Print, Cut, & Create! 
The Printables are soooo easy! Once printed out, just cut along the lines & score the highlighted edge. Fold into a cone shape.

 Glue together & then add ribbons to tie the hat on, the toppers & the embellishments. Here, I just ruffled crepe paper & glued to the edge & top, wrapped with ribbon & then added the cute pieces on the Printable to the front! I think they are so cute!

Rosemary is always amazing me...she's throwing an Easter Egg Decorating party & look at how cute her invitation is? I love it...I want to go! *wink*

Nancy created these cool banners & a 'happy' board for her cubicle at work...love her Instagrams!

LOVE how she used the Spring Circus Bundle kit to create a unique & gorgeous home decor piece! Amazing, Altaira...thanks for sharing!

cReative Team Tuesday

Once again...my amazing Creative Team has knocked my socks off! I just LOVE seeing how they take Rhonna Designs & create amazing projects with them! Today w'eve got hybrid projects that are gorgeous: table scapes, mini books, banners, scrapbooking, & home decor!

I am LOVING the gorgeous & creative projects Jing made. You can tell she is a hotelier & does amazing things for her guests! Check out these Butterfly Name tags she's got for her table settings: All created with the Spring Circus kits! 

**and notice the framed Printables in the backgrounds that she did with the Spring Circus card kit....

This book is fabulous...a mini banner book...she's created the frong with the Spring Circus Tag kit & added the 'Follow Your Dreams' from the Spring Circus Card kit.

Love how she made it POP! Brilliant!

And the insides of the book are the cute Happy Day Banner Printable! Don't you LOVE how she created the pages of the book? The letters are 3-D with the POP dots & she said she used crackle on them for some added textures. LOVE this soo much I can't even stand it!

 Now...Melissa gives us a fab Travel Scrapbook that she simply used the Rhonna Designs Backgrounds & kits along with her journaling. 

Simple. Brilliant. Gorgeous!

I love how she layered the Uplifting Kites kit with the Grateful Glam background! gorgeous!

& I adore how she used the Honeycomb papers & pieces for this page....ahhh....Paris!

& a few simple 6 week brushes here on her journaling really add that subtle effect that is gorgeous! Way to go, Melissa...now I want to go to Paris! You are so inspiring!

This Junque flower w/ leaves & colorful butterflies & flowers cut out from my fave paper in the Spring Circus Background just make me smile! Amazing!
