I just wanted to share a new company that is SUPER cool! It's called Paper Coterie.

You all know I'm ga-ga over anything that can spice up my photos....in fact, just the other day, Nancy & I were chatting back & forth about how taking pix with my phone & Instagram are my new way of scrapbooking 'on the go'.

to-do lists vs. to-be lists

 What do I want to become?

I've been thinking a lot about this lately.  I'm notorious for my 'to-do' lists..they are all over my house. On notepads, in my phone, jotted on a receipt...to-do. to-do. to-do.

And..I always feel great when I can check things off. *check*

I find myself ticking these to-do's off all the time.

But, lately, while reflecting a LOT on what I want to accomplish in my life..I've been thinking about my 

'to-be' lists.

What do I want to become?

And how do I go about becoming the kind of person I know I have the potential of being?

Love THIS quote. To-be's can never be done. To-be's can't be seen. It's quite profound I think. 

so, I've started a 'to-be' list. 

And of course, it is ever growing.

From what I want to become as a wife. mother. daughter. sister. artist. friend. 

To what I want to be

spiritually.

physically.

emotionally.

My list is growing. and never ending. but...

At age 43 I'm learning every day...

it's a process. 

A journey. 

And I'm so happy I have it.

Everyday I get to do to become.

In the craziness of every day life...at the end of the day, it's all about what we are becoming. I'm listening. I'm trying. I'm prioritizing. And...i love this pRocess.

there's no place like home....

I'm back. 

We had a grand time! 

So many fun memories as a family! 

We soaked in the sunshine. 

hit the trails. 

explored the Grand Canyon.

swam.

laughed.

ate yummy food.

 shopped.

& had such a relaxing time. 

I didn't take my computer & my family said, 'what? you won't be on your computer?"....it was so wonderful & just what we all needed.

But, of course, now it's time to get crackin! So many great things are on the horizon....I'm just inspired & giddy...things are falling into place & I feel so blessed & thankful.

When you're gone for over a week...things pile up...& while I tried to keep up with emails on my phone...taking pix & tweeting/facebooking along the way...

I felt like I missed out on blogging about a few things I didn't want to get lost in the cracks...so, here's a run down:

6 week shape up: Wrap up!

Wow! HUUUGE congrats to everyone who participated in the 6 Week Shape Up! 

You all deserve a huge pat on the back!

I'm so so proud of us all!

We did it!

I'm happy to say that these 6 weeks have been life changing for me.

 

This was one of THE hardest things for me to do...but...I DID IT! 

And...I'm NOT going to go back to my old ways!

As I've mentioned before, I've been reading & following Tosca Reno's Eat Clean columns, books, blog & website! I love the whole concept of eating clean...& it's helping my overall *healing* & health.

The frame-able hi rez art quote to end our journey is a quote from her new book: Stripped. 

It really spoke to me about how I must look at the 'end' of this journey...it's not an 'end' at all...only a beginning:

"To achieve your goals & remain successful, you must be willing to step over the line & fully commit to change." Tosca Reno

Isn't that GREAT! All of us who have finished this journey...it's not the 'end'...but, our beginning....we can't go back. 

We must step over the line &

Many of you know that I've been sick for a while...the past 6 mos. were unbearable. I couldn't function. I won't go into it all...but, I realized....

It was time for change...

& I knew doing this 6 week shape up would be just the thing I needed....& I'm so happy so many of you joined in...it's been life changing for me! I hope it has been for you, too!

I am committed to remain successful!

No...I am fully committed! 

How about YOU?

Let's not let the successes we've enjoyed slip away...instead: let's move on & kick it up a notch! Who says we have to stop? Isn't that an exciting thought? To continue to grow? Not going back? Being fully committed to living our BEST life? We deserve it.

Day 38: 6 week shape up...& Happy April!

Day 38...our last weekend. On Monday, we'll  report in & pat ourselves on the back for doing something sooo difficult for 6 weeks! Do you feel *shaped up*? It's never too late!

This quote just spoke to me...With Spring FINALLY emerging around here....It brings me HOPE. 

I have a very hard time during the winters....it is the hardest thing for me. The skies are grey, the weather is dreary, the wind blows, snow...rain...everything just kind of hybernates...including my soul. :(

But,  I try every year to suck it up, look for the good & bring my own sunshine... no matter what.

& I have to say..

I am getting better in my wiser years.  

It's still difficult, but when that sun finally comes out...the flowers start to bloom & things come alive...

so does my soul. 

I love the sun, warmth, flowers, color & birds singing!!!! 

Simple & beautiful things!

I was thinking it's a LOT like our attitude in this 6 week shape up.  The weather is rough sometimes...I tell ya...the beginning of the 6 weeks was sooo difficult! But...as I kept trying to be diligent everyday..pretty soon the sun came out. The habits I was forming became easier. Not overnight...I had to go into a very extensive soul searching mode to do this. I had to bring the sunshine into my heart & soul. 

And now, as we are coming to an end, I do feel ALIVE. 

My soul is blooming, the birds are singing & I can honestly say, these 6 weeks have showed me so much HOPE!

How are YOU today, on this first day of April!? I hope you feel hope, joy & bring your OWN sunshine where ever you are in your life right now.

This is my favorite weekend of the year. THIS truly does awaken my soul & brings me joy! Here's to a sun-shiney weekend for our souls!
