Find the Happiness

Today this is your challenge: Find the happiness even when it's not obvious.
There's HOPE
Just believe.
I know a lot of people that have been very saddened about the US Presidential Election outcome. I don't talk politics on my blog here, but I DO offer ideas to uplift & inspiRe. So...w/ so many of us having so many different feelings today...I wanted to offer up some ways I've found peace in this whole election process.

1. Find the happiness even when it's not obvious.  This quote is very special to my family. And, trust me....we've needed it. I believe that as a person, wife, mom, friend, daughter, sister...I need to LOOK for the happiness in every situation, because I believe it's there. Women of the nation- the world- we need to be examples of this.  We CAN find the happiness, we have to look for it & practice it. every. day.

2. Have hope.  Hope is a word that means so much to me.  I have hope in the future. I have hope in my family. I have hope in my community. I have hope in our country. I have hope in our world. It all boils down to how WE act & what WE do in our own little circles.  Without hope, there's despair...& I for one do NOT like to feel despair! We can rise above that w/ HOPE!

3. Just Believe. Be faithful. Be happy. Be hopeful. BELIEVE that there's a purpose to everything. As an LDS woman, I pray for our President all the time. And I will continue to pray for our President.  No matter where we live- USA or not_ we can always pray for our country's leaders.  I echo these words:

After a long campaign, this is now a time for Americans to come together. It is a long tradition among Latter-day Saints to pray for our national leaders in our personal prayers and in our congregations. We invite Americans everywhere, whatever their political persuasion, to pray for the President, for his administration and the new Congress as they lead us through difficult and turbulent times. May our national leaders reflect the best in wisdom and judgment as they fulfill the great trust afforded to them by the American people.

I believe this will bring miracles. I believe this will instill hope in our hearts & families. It's time to band together as Americans & find the happiness in every situation! Life is to be lived & loved...so, smile! Every little thing's gonna be alright! *wink*

uplifting and inspiring: quotes

Have you ever been having a 'not-so-good' day & you come across a quote that just uplifts and inspiRes you? Me, too! and I have to say...I love it! I don't consider those 'accidents' or 'coincidences'...I believe they are sprinkled from heaven & are there to help us along...to help us rise up out of the slump.  I LOVE taking my Rhonna Designs Insta Fonts or Digital bRushes & cReating quotes that are uplifting & inspiRing. I usually post them on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest & Facebook, but I wanted to share a few recent ones here on my blog:
This one is by Deiter F. Uchtdorf & when I heard it, it struck my heart...I wanted to share it with others.  It just made my day when I read it again & LOVED putting it together in a Chalkboard art way!

And...of course you've heard this one before, but WOW...some days you just have to hear it! & say it to yourself over & over again! *wink*

I'm in LOVE with Chalkboard art...but, you already know that.  With it being November, I'm really into the Grateful, Gratitude, Thankful quotes...
...I love finding new quotes....what are some of your favorites lately? What uplifts and inspiRes YOU?

Think Pink.

I'm happy to be a part of my friend, Laura's Pink Cake Plate blog series this year: 31 Days Of Pink.
She's a total inspiration...each day she's invited friends to share what inspires them & how they can share the love & awareness of Breast Cancer.  As I reflected on my last year's entry.  It was all about ideas & inspiration....& this year as I thought about what I wanted to share, I had a lot of the same feelings, but...I want to take it in a bit of a different direction....taking ideas & inspiration & acting on them to uplift & inspire others.

These 4 simple words have made a very huge impact on me.
When Linda K. Burton shared this, it sunk deep in my soul. I listened to it w/ my heart & since then, I've been trying this. And guess what? It makes me happy! The experiences I had on my birthday were just one of the many experiments I've tried to act on these 4 words. I had the BEST birthday ever by first observing...sharing my art & asking others to do one act of kindness in return.  I did it, too. All day I looked for someone who I could help, make happy cheer up their day & basically I was crying all day out of sheer joy! LOL! But...
it made me think. If EVERYONE lived these 4 words & went around observing others & what you could do to help them...what an amazing impact we'd make in this wonderful world we live in!
It starts w/ us.
We can first observe, then serve
in our homes,
our families,
our friends,
our neighbors,
our communities...
& even those friends all over the world.

In fact, it can even be people we don't know...total strangers...everyone can use a smile, or a compliment or a help to the car, or a door opened....just to let others know they are loved.
THIS inspiration will filter into our lives creatively, physically, spiritually & emotionally...I promise. I've done it! So...today, think of these 4 words & make it the BEST day ever!
huuuge hugs! Be uplifting & inspiring to all around you! & think pink!

Insta Quotes= inspiRation

I LOVE good quote art. One of my fave things is to peruse Pinterest & see all of the fabulously uplifting & inspiring quotes to jump start my day!  This was the inspiration behind my new Insta Quotes. Pre-designed quotes offered in a TTF font, black PNG files AND ABR brush/stamps.  So many ways to use them to be uplifted & inspired!

So, I used some of the Insta LOVE brushes (since they are large & crisp) to accent the Insta Quotes & create 8x8 works of quote art. I am printing them out to frame. I want a whole wall filled with these fun signs! I added the Insta Lovin' Frames to these images to show you, but that would be cool to ad for smaller versions of these! Think Big! Get Creative. Have fun & enjoy the pRocess!

Happy Friday...can't WAIT for the Olympics tonight! I"m a sucker for the whole world coming together for the Opening Ceremonies..I get the chills! heehee...I'll be on my couch, chillin! *wink*

You don't have to be perfect....

....You just have to be your best.

This was the overall message to me...I loved this.
Such peace
It just resonated in my soul when I heard Julie B. Beck say this during Women's Conference last week.
It's true.
We, as women tend to be so hard on ourselves...& there's no reason to be!
be kind to yourself!

We try to measure up to everyone else...yet, we are missing the whole point: to be & do our best. OUR own best. Not someone else's.

So many messages spoke to me...& I hope they uplift & inspire you, too!
took a few instagrams during our 2 days...

So....I wanted to share some of my faves:

The only person you need to be better than, is the person you were yesterday. -Barbara Thompson

People w/ a goal succeed because they know where they are going. Write down your goals. Keep them in sight.

What's the difference between mud puddles & geysers? ENTHUSIASM! Choose to be enthusiastic in all that you do. You WILL see success!

Identity. Testimony. Spirit. Example. Desire...Become. - Mary Cook

Make it a priority to 'be still' everyday. Listen. Stop. Prioritize. Then the things we need to do become clear.

We can recognize our weaknesses, but don't wallow or glory in them.

It's important to know of your heritage. This will add clarity to your identity. Who you are..what you are capable of. You are strong!

You are capable of doing & becoming more than you realize. Have faith in yourself.
Each of us has a different story; but in the end, we are made to be happy. Choose to be happy.

Are you the real YOU? Or a distorted vision of YOU? it's time for change to be the YOU, you are meant to be.
Beauty & Motherhood are one. - Stephanie Nielson

See the strength in yourself. Look through God's eternal lens at WHO YOU ARE!
It's all about LOVE. We can't control who loves us, but we can control who we love. Share the love. - Bridgette Server

The Conference was simply amazing. So many words of inspiration...I came home just flying high! re-focused. ready. & have made some new, exciting goals. I feel un-stoppable! I hope it will last! *grin*  So, Happy Tuesday & make it your best day ever!

to-do lists vs. to-be lists

Spring Mix kit
What do I want to become?
I've been thinking a lot about this lately.  I'm notorious for my 'to-do' lists..they are all over my house. On notepads, in my phone, jotted on a receipt...to-do. to-do. to-do.
And..I always feel great when I can check things off. *check*

I find myself ticking these to-do's off all the time.
But, lately, while reflecting a LOT on what I want to accomplish in my life..I've been thinking about my
'to-be' lists.

What do I want to become?

And how do I go about becoming the kind of person I know I have the potential of being?

Love THIS quote. To-be's can never be done. To-be's can't be seen. It's quite profound I think.

so, I've started a 'to-be' list.

And of course, it is ever growing.
From what I want to become as a wife. mother. daughter. sister. artist. friend.
To what I want to be
spiritually.
physically.
emotionally.

My list is growing. and never ending. but...
At age 43 I'm learning every day...
it's a process.
A journey.
And I'm so happy I have it.
Everyday I get to do to become.

In the craziness of every day life...at the end of the day, it's all about what we are becoming. I'm listening. I'm trying. I'm prioritizing. And...i love this pRocess.
