Ok, so Summer is almost over & lest you thought I'd forgotten about the DIY Summer Series Project, I thought it was time to get some pix of what I've been up to.
My sister & I were totally inspired by Orange Poppy's Etsy shoppe filled with delicious ruffle necklaces. You know when you have jewelry that you LOVE but you lose a piece, or part of it gets broken? Well, when we saw Rebekah's ingenius way of using jewelry...we had to try it!
And.....how fun to use House of 3 digital papers printed out on fabric for the ruffle? Yea...check this out!
The above fabric piece is the Damask Brushes created as a pattern, then printed out on the fabric piece & made into the necklace.
I sewed vintage glass buttons onto the digital printed fabric, created the necklace & voila! A DIY Summer Series Project! ...didn't buy anything new...used everything in my studio. **3:30 a.m. made for quite the fun project!**
Supplies Needed:
House of 3 Digital Kits **I used French Oo La La Papers here.
Inkjet Printable Fabric Paper
Necklace clasps, chain, findings. **use old necklaces**
Wire
Needle Nose Pliers/snips
Jewelry pieces to embellish **here, I used a French Pin I got in Paris**
Steps:
1. Open up French Oo La La paper. Print on printable fabric.
2. Cut a long strip of the fabric, fold over & press.
3. Sew a 1/3" sleeve for the wire.
4. Insert wire, gather & finish off ends of wire with a wrapped loop on the ends.
5. Add jump rings, jewelry pieces & the necklace chain.
Voila! You're so chic!
Love these! Look how cute my sister looks in it with this tee shirt. LOVE!

We seriously stayed up past 3:30 a.m. creating. crafting. gettin' our creative sparks flying....wow! I LOVE that! We made 6 DIY necklaces...thank you, Rebekah...for the sheer inspiration. I adore this one...bought it & can't wait to wear it! Go check out her shoppe..you will NOT be disappointed!&...some weekend stuff:
1. happy Friday...New House of 3 Twitter backgrounds...for a rad price!
But, just cuz we love ya...here's a FREE background...going to change mine now! come & follow me on Twitter...**when it's back up I'll link**
2. Congrats to Janet & family....& the winner of the Baby Kit is: OurStory! email me, ok?
3. see what I'm up to with this, too! *wink*
4. Come back on Sunday to enter in a FAB give*away!R
With my recent sickness, I had so many kind people bring by dinners, goodies & get well wishes. I love our neighborhood!
So, now that I'm feeling better, I owe a lot of people Thank Yous!
But, I need Quick & Easy, ya know? So....No. 7: DIY Summer Project is....these Address Wraps. They are so versatile. You just open up the PDF in Photoshop & simply
1. type out the addresses
2. print out on sticker paper
3. wrap your envelopes in style!
Or....you can add to the front of a Thank You like this:
supplies needed:
1. patterned paper (shown: House of 3 French Oo La La printed on both sides)
2. address wrap download
3. fold paper into an envelope like this>>
4. add written note, pop up greeting...whatever!

5. INSIDE: ~add some of the pop ups to this tag for some dimension, then a personal handwritten note...
6. OUSTIDE: ~add a flower on the flap & wrap the Address Wrap!
7. Address Wrap versatility: I added a thank you on the 'return address area' & typed their names in the 'address area'
8. Printed out on white sticker paper & wrapped around the envelope for a fast, easy & cute Thank You!
Another idea for the Address Wraps:
**Wrap up some brownies in a pastry box, and add the Address Wrap over the opening flap. Embellish with tulle, ribbon, tags, flowers, whatever!
fun, huh?

a special, huge shout out to my dear sister in law, cherie! It's her birthday...Love you, girl!

won't you please join me in my DIY (do-it-yourself) Summer Projects Series??
I'm rampin' up for the summer.....i love it! My kids & I have big plans for doing a project a week. BUT...our purpose & goal is to get super cReative & re-purpose items around the house in a cReative way:
home decor
fashion
function...you get it.
Our goal is to buy as little as possible to re-create as many projects as we can this summer!
so, I wanted to throw it out there & see if anyone wants to join in!
no pressure.
totally fun.
To get started.....I need a visual reminder of my goals.
So, I just printed this door hanger out on House of 3's French Oo La La paper, cut out & added my top ten things I wanted to do this summer...obviously each week we'll do more, but...it's a start!
So... DIY Summer Project No. 1 is:
re-doing T's room w/o buying anything new.
She's a girl who knows what she wants.
green.
black.
white.
very modern, cool vibe.
first things' first: gather inspiration! So...I made up this just to get some ideas flowing.

love this vibe. clean. fresh. funky!
Thanks to domino magazine, apartment therapy, brocade home, design sponge, & style me pretty for their endless 'inspiration board' inspiration!
Now, I've made up some 'inspiration' lists that I'll add the to-do's on for each DIY Summer Project!
*squeal* I'm sooo excited! I love it!
LMK if you're in!
we'll have FUN in this pRocess!
