Rhonna Designs :What are the 'rules'?

We've had so many questions about what the 'rules' are with Rhonna Designs lately, I thought I'd do a blog post to answer the frequently asked questions about what you can & can't do with Rhonna Designs...

First...when you go to the Home Page of Rhonna Designs, scroll down to the bottom & you can see the Licensing Agreements & Terms Of Use sections.

When you sign up & check out...you will be prompted to click the box that says you have read & agree with the Terms Of Use so you understand what you can & can't do with Rhonna Designs...but, it seems it's still a bit confusing for some.

Basically...
All Sales Are Final: when you purchase the art, you are agreeing that you understand that there are no refunds.  When you download the digital files..that's it. We can't squeeze into your computer to take a 'return'...you've got those files..so> All Sales Are Final. Non-refundable & Non-returnable.
**We do work with every customer & IF there is a problem, (i.e. you purchased the same kit 2xs) we will work with you on a refund...we understand that each download is different...so, please don't hesitate to let us know if there is a problem...we'd rather work it out than lose a customer.**

No Sharing Files: Also, you agree that you will NOT share the files. No. Not with your friend who wants to 'try' digital, or your mom, or your kid's teacher...please. Sharing information is OK. Just let them know WHER they can purchase the kits as well.  But, we ask that you keep those files for yourself. On your computer.  If you want to transfer the files onto another one of your computers to use...that's OK. Just transfer/share to another person's computer/CD/DVD/thumbdrive, etc.  **including Freebies.**

No Pirating: This is a no-brainer to me, but apparently, people think that once they download it, they can put it up on a site for downloads...especially the FREEBIEs. No. that's NOT ok. Just because it's on your computer & you bought it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with it.

No Re-Sale or Manipulating for Re-sale:  This means, you can't use Rhonna Designs in any form to turn around & sell....even if you 'changed' it a bit.  This isn't in any of the licenses...since the copyright is retained by Rhonna Designs, LLC. Plain & simple: you don't have the copyright to do this.

Proper Credit: You also agree to give proper credit.  Somewhere on your blog, biz identity, or printed material it needs to say: artwork copyright Rhonna Designs www.rhonnadesigns.com

Now, for specific licenses:
No use on any project that is Commercial/gain profit.  This means blogs, facebook pages, etsy stores, online classes/promotion, business identity (biz cards, logos,) or even a graphic that is on your site/blog/printed material where you are making some money, promoting your business or someone else's.

Personal use means you can use it for your own blog (not promoting a business) or your own digital scrapbooking or crafting, hybrid scrapbooking or crafting or personal projects.

Again, proper credit is appreciated so others can find the artwork as well.

**the question has come up: What if I'm using your designs on my personal blog where I don't make money but I do have affiliate links...can I still use a personal license?
The answer is: Yes, but please give credit & link back to our site (preferably the kit you used) somewhere in your post.

When you need Rhonna Designs for your business marketing, client custom photo cards, or photo albums for resale to your clients in completed tangible format...this is the license for you.

So, YOU would purchase the Rhonna Designs kits to do business work for your clients.

Still...this doesn't give you the copyright for re-sale or manipulating for re-sale.
You also agree to give proper credit.  Somewhere on your blog, biz identity, or printed material it needs to say: artwork copyright Rhonna Designs www.rhonnadesigns.com

This is the license you would purchase for ANY work that YOU are using for a business, promotion of business, business identity; etsy shops, blogs, online stores, online classes, graphics on your sites/blogs that promote your business.

You may use Rhonna DESIGNS Digital Downloadable Products as a part of your own, derived artwork as long as it is not sold or distributed digitally or electronically.

This means you can use parts of Rhonna Designs products as your own derived artwork - that is NOT created for digital distribution, fonts, anything electronic...
So, for you Mixed Media artists, photographers, Card makers, etc...you could use this artwork to create your OWN artwork...but, again...You agree to give proper credit.  Somewhere on your blog, biz identity, or printed material it needs to say: artwork copyright Rhonna Designs www.rhonnadesigns.com.

The copyright is still retained by Rhonna Designs...hence, the 'LIMITED' commercial license...you are not purchasing all rights.

And then, there's the Instructional License ~
This is for teachers or stores that want to use the Rhonna Designs in your classes for projects. You'd purchase this license & then have the ability to print out the artwork for your classes.

Again...You agree to give proper credit.  Somewhere on your blog, biz identity, or printed material it needs to say: artwork copyright Rhonna Designs www.rhonnadesigns.com.

The copyright is still retained by Rhonna Designs.....you are not purchasing all rights.

For Manufacturers, there's a Commercial License opportunity...that is met on a case by case situation.  i.e., my Follow Your Heart collection by My Mind's Eye is under this license.

Hope that helps...& now you can continue to uplift & inspire with Rhonna Designs products!
