ReplyDeleteHi Rhonna!
ReplyDeleteI have a question and I don't know if you can answer it. It's about using a MAC with the silhouette. If I want to use parallels, do I have to buy windows as well? Or can I just run the software when I have parallels open? If you can't answer this, maybe Kerry can answer?
Thanks!!

Hi Rhonna! Thanks for the fun webcast & ideas. I'm curious if the Silhouette can cut fabric? I've heard conflicting answers on this ... the Sil website says "no", but some people who own one apparently use it to cut fabric??? Will it hurt the machine/blade? Also - do they plan to release a version that can handle 12" paper? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey there, I am wondering if you will be doing any St Patrick's Day kits? Its one of my favorite holidays and I would love to see your cute designs with the the fun-ness of that holiday!
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonna..question..did you use vinyl art on your studio drawers (I remember loving a picture of those awhile back??? I may have to get the silhouette just for sprucing up my cabinets like that??? Also..are you guys selling those frames like the one on your blog with your picture on it...sorry, I guess these aren't for you FAQa:) wink wink!
ReplyDeletei loved that cute red ring you had on. where did you find it? loved the webshow! can't wait until i am able to get a silhouette! thanks for all your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi, just wanting to know if the show can be viewed at a later date ?
ReplyDeleteLove your designs
For years I had a PC then a little over a year ago we went to MAC. I love the MAC but I'm having a major learning curve. I knew how to do everything I wanted on the PC and all my toys connected and worked. Now it's like starting all over again. I would love to get the Silhouette DS but I'm unsure how to use it with the MAC. I do have Photoshop CS3. Do I still have to have Adobe Illustrator? I don't want to go the Parallels route since we got MAC for the security of not needing antivirus.
ReplyDeleteIs there a tutorial/step by step instructions on how to use it with a MAC? Would you consider making one?
I need someone to teach an online class or to have a tutorial to lead me through this.
Thank you,
Jackie
My question is exactly like JackieB. I so want to get it but don't want to go parallel too whatever that is. I don't want additional software that you have to spend over $200 for. I too have a MaC and CS4.
ReplyDeletehi rhonna,do you design invites? would love to have your e-mail, so that i can sent you the details.
ReplyDeletetania.
Thank you for posting this video on the blog! I missed the live showing, but watching this I'm so inspired! I can't wait until it's Mac compatable! WOO HOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and did Peggoo end up winning the prize?
ReplyDeleteHi! i have a Mac & Illustrator- but am confused by the silhouette info on the video- will i not be able to buy & cut images from the online store (i.e. house of 3 silhouette images?) only what i create in Illustrator myself? like others, i do NOT want to run any sort of Windows simulator/software on my Mac!
ReplyDeleteYou & Heidi have Macs so there must be something i'm missing- please help because i would love one! thx!
Hi Rhonna - Can you provide more info/details on how to use the Silhouette w/a Mac. I have Adobe Illustrator and CS4. Maybe you could do a tutorial?
ReplyDeleteHi! Another vote here for a Mac/Illustrator tutorial for the Silhouette.
ReplyDeleteI have the Mac plug-in for the Silhouette and can easily cut fonts from Illustrator, but would love access to other images.
Do you just use the Silhouette to cut images you designed yourself or is there a way to access other designs?
