The {21} Challenge---final week! CongRats!

Huge congRats to ALL of you 21ers! It feels great, huh? So thankful for this journey...& LOVED ending on Easter! Perfect ending to a perfect journey! I had many requests for these to be made into larger 'prints' so you could print them out...who's interested?

For me, personally, working out at the TRX gym, Lyceum, has been such a huuuuge impact on me. Not only did it show me that even though I may have fibromyalgia, I am STRONG! (my one little word for 2013 *wink*) and I'm really loving the training! We are off for a week to someplace sunny for Spring Break...& as soon as I get back, I'm hoping to ramp up & go for a new challenge! stay tuned.....

The {21} Challenge.....week 3!

Ok...this is IT! The light is at the end of the tunnel! The {21} Challenge is almost done...finished....complete!
Seriously...this 2nd week was the hardest & YOU DID IT!!!! *We CAN do hard things, right?*
EAch day, we have learned something new, don't you think? I'm LOVING this new adventure I'm on!
No matter how hard this is....I'm learning to 'create my own sunshine' w/ this journey!

See these 'torturous' things? yea...I go visit them at Lyceum at Brick Canvas. & let me tell you....this has been SUCH an amazing journey...I'm LOVING these workouts! If you are in Utah...check them out! I've recruited 2 friends already *wink*...can you say BRAVE girls?** And, I'd LOVE to see you there! (no, I am not getting anything to talk about them...hee heee...) I'm just fully LOVING it & wanted to share! Trish & Jesse are FULLY MOTIVATING & this is what I needed to get my body back in gear after being so sick & NOT able to move!

So, as this says...I didn't stop dreaming of being healthy, but I started DOING too!  I'm LOVING the way it pushes me! I still hurt, don't get me wrong. But, it's hard to explain. With Fibromyalgia it is always about pain, but I feel a degenerative pain everyday that is...well....it can be depressing. With this TRX training we do at Lyceum, it still hurts, and I'm still in pain...BUT, it's more of a 'i-did-something-really-difficult' hurt! ya know?
And...it takes EVERYTHING I've got. Every. Day. Seriously...this is NOT for the faint of heart! LOL!

Each day these quotes have helped me CRUSH through the brick wall. We all hit it, I know. But, we don't have to let it stop us! We CAN climb over it & crush it!

But, one thing I've felt and am hearing from some 21ers is: 'I feel like I'm sabotaging myself'....right? I know it sounds crazy. You think: I'm doing this great thing for 21 days, but for some reason...sometimes we do this crazy thing called: holding ourselves back. Either because the work it takes scares us, or we don't have confidence in ourselves, or we don't feel like we are WORTH it to give it our all...but, it's time to STOP! We are all meant to shine...we ARE worth it and we CAN do it!

And, it's a good good day to be AMAZING! Right? We have 1 more week. Here's to giving it our ALL!

The {21} Challenge....week 2!

Ok, so are you feeling it yet? This is the week that is the most difficult in The {21} Challenge.  You are on fire that first week, & by the 3rd week you can see the light at the end of the tunnel....but for some reason...week 2 is the killer. So......if you are feeling that: there's NOTHING wrong w/ you! *wink*
I you aren't....then, way to go! Soooo proud of you!
So, today focus on: "We BECOME what we want to BE by consistently BEING what we want to BECOME every day." - Richard G. Scott

This has got to be one of my FAVE quotes...so uplifting and inspiring on so many levels. And, I thought it was perfect to start off week 2 of The {21} Challenge!

I've loved following your journey on Instagram & Facebook w/ the hashtag #rd21challenge Soooo fun to see! And...I know a lot of you are shy & have been emailing me, or private messaging me to keep the 'accountability' going! kudos to you!

Accountability is critical in these challenges....that's why sharing it w/ people in your life is sooo important!

So...remember: it's NEVER too late to jump in! Just because you missed starting on the same day...no worries!
1. Pick your ONE habit to make or break.
2. Pick your way to document it. (hashtag #rd21challenge if you are tweeting or Instagramming)
&
3. Commit to it for 21 days STRAIGHT!

And....if you want to see all of the images in one place...run on over to my Pinterest board HERE.

The {21} Challenge...next round!

It's that time again! I started another round of The {21} Challenge! This one is running from March 11-31! And, if you are NEW...go HERE to read up on it!  If you've joined me before...welcome back!

So, today is day one:

1. Pick ONE habit to make or break.
It can be a physical, emotional, spiritual, mental goal...something that YOU feel you want to improve in your life.
**For this round, I have signed up & committed to going to Lyceum training at Brick Canvas for 21 days! They have this fab $21 for 21 Days deal going on...& since Spring Break is exactly 21 days away...this is perfect! I started this morning at the 8am class & just about barfed....but, other than that *grimace* I felt great!

2. Pick a way to document it. You can scrapbook it. art journal it. photograph it. use your phone. (which is what I'm doing) or write it down in a notebook. whatever will help to solidify this new habit. for YOU. tailor it to YOU.
**I will be doing this all on my phone w/ Rhonna Designs Instafonts & sharing them via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest, so be sure to follow me for daily prompts & my accountability!

3. Commit to it for 21 days straight.  This is when the success comes in. It takes 21 days or 3 weeks for your body, muscles, brain to all come together & make or break this habit.
It can be done.
**I've done round after round & not only do I feel better about myself, gain more confidence, see the changes I want to see, but I get more creative!!!! seriously...it works hand in hand with the 100 Creativity Exercises...I LOVE it!

So...who's in? If you are on twitter or Instagram, hashtag with #RD21Challenge & if you are on Facebook... come on over HERE!

....let's uplift & inspiRe each  other for the next 21 days!

The 21 Challenge: an end, but just a beginning.

Think about your journey. Really sit and THINK. ...take a minute to clear your mind of everything....unhurried, peaceful,
creative thought.
Ask yourself questions:

What did I learn?
How am I better?
What will I DO with this new change?

Commit to the change.
Let it wash over you.
Continue your journey!

Congrats, everyone!
You did it!
You are better than you were 21 days ago... Because you made a new habit! Give yourself a pat on the back....you deserve it!
Now....take this to the next level...what will you do to continue your journey?
Take the time today to really think about this...
& do something special for a little victory party!

Day 15: The 21 Challenge. last week!

"She kept her eye on the prize."

(graphic is from the NEW Punk Junque kit!)

last week.
How are you doing?

I've LOVED hearing your stories...many of you are doing some really difficult things as your challenge...& many of you are feeling good. feeling strong.

Some of you have fallen off the wagon...to both of you I say:

Keep your eye on the prize.
 Do NOT give up.
do NOT lose focus.
The time is passing...you are DOING it!

Even if you fall off the wagon...all is not lost!

HOW do you expect to become a 'better you' if you do not put in the effort & work...keep your eye on the prize, 21ers!

LOVE You! & do NOT give up!

Day 8 of The 21 Challenge AND a Giveaway!

Day 8 of the 21 challenge...and...reporting in...
How are you doing?

day. 8.
"We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?" - Marianne Williamson
Yes.
Today:
be fabulous.

All of you 21ers ARE fabulous, but add on a 'lieve' to that 'be' so you 'believe' you are fabulous!

This week has been amazing...hearing from so many of you via facebook, instagram, twitter, texts, emails...wow! You are ALL doing an amazing job!

I'm happy to say I've stayed 'on the wagon' the entire week. Even when I got home from my whirlwind day trip to AZ, I came home late & did my core exercises...it's getting easier!

so...we are entering
the 2nd week.
This is the most difficult of the weeks...
the 1st week you are all fired up & have a lot of motivation going on...

the 3rd week you can see the light at the end of the tunnel & run on the momentum of the past 2 weeks.

but, sadly...week 2 gets the shaft. This is where most people fall off the wagon.
it get's too difficult.
you start to rationalize.
you start to doubt.

stop.

do NOT fall into these traps.
you can do this.
be.lieve. that you can be.come.

How about a little fun motivation?

If you have seen Maggie Holmes' photography you KNOW it's deeelish! She's just got a way of bringing color & feeling to her photography...

well...she is offering a FAB giveaway to her December Daily Photography Workshop to one of YOU!

Maggie's daily emails & prompts for photographing your December will be invaluable. I'm soo excited to take this class. Even if you are not doing the December daily...you will love it for any of your December documenting: Journal Your Christmas, photographing your holidays...etc.
Thanks, Maggie Holmes Designs for sponsoring this amazing giveaway!
and.
ready.
set.
go.
comment here...I'll pick a winner on Wednesday!

Happy Day 8 &....

The 21 Challenge...starts today!

So many requests for this lately...It's the {21} Challenge...another round. Are you in?

It starts today...& like I said on Twitter & Facebook....this is a LITE version. I'll be tweeting, posting visuals like these images here via Instagram & on Facebook DAILY. So, the best way to follow & share is by following me on Twitter, Instagram & FB....Lite version...remember?

Each Monday, I'll do a blog re-cap with all of the day's images so you can go back & look at them.
Who's in?

Day 1: today.
LOVE this quote:
"A strong positive mental attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug." Patricia Neal

Remember:
1. Pick ONE habit to make or break.
It can be a physical, emotional, spiritual, mental goal...something that YOU feel you want to improve in your life.
**I chose to focus on core exercises everyday. I've got the running down, but I always forget the core for some reason. And when I DO exercise it daily, my other ailments seem to be better. A strong core= a happy Rhonna.

2. Pick a way to document it. You can scrapbook it. art journal it. photograph it. write it down in a notebook. whatever will help to solidify this new habit. for YOU. tailor it to YOU.
**In past rounds, I did art journals, and I loved it!!!! But, right now, I've got lots on my plate & sadly, it's not realistic. But, I CAN be creative AND document with my phone..so, this is my 'LITE' version. I will be taking pictures on my phone & adding the quotes for my creativity exercises.  All on my phone. love that.

I'm committed. Are you?

Welcome new-comers, & welcome old-timers....let's do this!

cReativity and maRathons

With this marathon training...I've been running.
a lot.
exercising my muscles.

and when I run I have a lot of time to think.

Each morning, before I leave to hit the trail...I grab one of my 100 Creativity Exercises out of my cute jar.
I look at it.
I put it in my other jar.

and then I take off....

I let the cReativity percolate.
and...ideas generate as I run.

I exercise my cReative muscles, too.

I see things differently with the exercises in my mind.

The other morning, the exercises I took out of the jar challenged me to look at things differently...change my perspective.

I run over this bridge every. day.
And...this particular morning, I looked down at that row of washers....* & I saw it differently*.
I was so excited to take a picture of it....
I bent down, *almost got hit by a biker*...& I saw the bridge differently.

I love this photo.

So, as I'm exercising my leg muscles...they get stronger as I run.

26.2 miles is a long way!

But, when I exercise my creative muscles along the way...my creativity gets stronger, too!

It's called muscle memory.
Our muscles start to get used to what we do. It becomes second nature.
It is an unconscious process....we just know how to do it.
That's why the 21 Challenge is so great, too...when it becomes a habit...it becomes a part of us.

I was just in the new Somerset Digital Studios magazine this month....& my article is called:
Uplift and Inspire.

Here's a quote from it:
"People ask me all the time if I ever get into a creative rut.  The answer is No.  Because I work my creative muscle every day through my 100 Creativity Exercises...It's become a habit for me...everyday...this is how I begin any of my creative projects.  I am never in creative ruts...in fact, I've got so many creative ideas swimming in my brain that it's hard to turn it off."

Truly...exercising my muscles makes me feel so free. like a bird.
So happy.
So content.

No, it's not easy...in fact. It's SUPER difficult!
but each day I get stronger....
& being able to run a marathon in a week & a half...& being creative on a constant basis...
is because my exercises work!

Today's challenge: do something that is difficult. maybe even scares you....you will get stronger.
& it feels good!
